Bank failures in 2020
Lefomi’s bank failures pages list FDIC-insured banks closed since 2020, with an index of years and a list for each year. Each entry shows the closing date, total assets, total deposits, the FDIC’s estimated cost to the deposit insurance fund, and the acquiring institution. All details are reported by the FDIC, and the amounts are its figures at the time of closing. Lefomi checks the FDIC records weekly, and a closed bank keeps its page on the site. This record of past bank failures says nothing about any institution that is open today.
